It covers the major aspects of Literacy including Practical Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar and Reading and Writing for Meaning. The Level One course is the equivalent of the Intermediate GCSE qualification and is for those who may need a recognised qualification for work or just to ensure that their literacy skills are at the national level.
Numeracy
Numeracy is offered at Entry 3 and Level One. Entry 3 is again for those who may need greater support and development before tackling GCSE equivalent qualifications with Level One for those who need to be qualified for employment opportunities.
For both Literacy and Numeracy online testing is available at Level One and if success is achieved at Level One we can offer the Level Two (GCSE Higher tier equivalent) for a small admin fee.
